Bumble Bees Classes
Unique Pre-School Academy at Studio B School of Dance in Stone
The program is designed and created by school principal, Miss Laura, and is unique to our school. We follow the wonderful world of Queenie Bee and her friends and family. The classes launch the children into a world of imagination, creation, storytelling and dance. Whilst lost in the world of Queenie Bee, the children are not only learning first ballet steps but focus, spatial awareness, fine and gross motor skills, passion and performance.
This bespoke, tailored programme is child-centred and gender neutral. It has been designed to see children embark on their initial years of dance training in a fun and caring environment. Through the mentorship of our highly skilled and experienced teachers, your young dancer will have fun, grow in confidence, learn new skills and become a part of our Studio B School of Dance family.
Suitable from 18 months to 2 years old our BeBes start their dance journey with a “my grown up and me” class. Our BeBes will be introduced to the first steps of ballet and get to know Queenie Bee and her friends. The class is 30 minutes long and our grown-ups will stay in the studio to join in the fun.
From BeBes, our dancers move into Buzzers at two years old, until three, where we also incorporate acrobatic arts. This 45 minute class is the first time the dancers are encouraged to come into the dance studio independently. We continue to explore the magical world of Queenie Bee and her bug friends throughout each class.
Suitable for ages 3 and 4, our Bumbles will get to do a combined tap, ballet and acrobatic arts class. Bumbles will be introduced to the 1st ISTD Ballet grade and work towards learning the techniques for the syllabus. Class sizes are limited to ensure your little Bee receives individual attention which is vital at all stages of dance.
Grown Ups Welcome
Grown ups are always welcome at Studio B's Bumble Bees classes, especially in the earlier age groups. In the BeBes class, adults get to stay and join in the fun during class. The Buzzers and Bumbles are encouraged to come into the dance studio independently, but we will always allow grown ups if your little Bee needs a little extra time to build confidence. Plus, Queenie, the class teddy, is always there for extra cuddles. We look forward to seeing you at Studio B School of Dance!
